What’s the difference between the 5-year and 8-year warranties?+
Both provide the same types of limited coating-performance coverage for qualifying premature failures. The primary difference is duration: five years or eight years from the documented installation date. Both qualifying packages include a separate 1-Year Workmanship Warranty.
What does the 1-year workmanship warranty cover?+
It covers verified defects directly caused by improper coating application, such as visible high spots from improper leveling, application-related streaking, or uneven coverage. Hershey’s Detailing must inspect and confirm the issue.
When does my warranty coverage begin?+
The applicable coverage period begins on the documented coating installation date.
What happens if my coating fails?+
Contact us so we can inspect the finish and assess the issue under the written warranty. Approved claims receive the applicable corrective treatment specified in that agreement.
Does ceramic coating prevent scratches?+
No. A ceramic coating does not make paint scratch-proof. Scratches, rock chips, and dents are outside the defined coverage.
Are water spots covered?+
No. Water spots and mineral deposits are not covered. Dry the vehicle after washing and address deposits promptly using coating-safe methods.
How should I maintain my coating?+
Follow our ceramic coating care guide and any additional maintenance or inspection requirements in your written warranty agreement.
Is the warranty transferable?+
Transferability depends on the applicable written warranty agreement for the installed coating. Contact us with your installation details so we can identify the terms that apply.
How do I submit a warranty claim?+
Email us or call (331) 231-0176 with details of the issue and your vehicle and installation information. We will arrange an inspection and explain the eligibility determination.
